MyQ Powers Ahead with Advanced Print Management Development
Print management solutions provider MyQ is positioned at the centre of both the cloud and on-premise spaces with advanced solutions and a commitment to continuous improvement, exceptional support, and integrity that builds customer and partner loyalty.
Established print management expertise
Founded in 1992, originally to serve the needs of the Czech market, the MyQ leadership team has piloted the business through more than 30 years that have seen it grow to a global enterprise with clients in more than 140 countries.
In September 2025, MyQ welcomed its channel partners to Prague for a three-day event to introduce the latest features in its on-premise and private cloud product MyQ X, and its cloud-native product MyQ Roger. The team shared a progress update on its next-generation MyQ neXt software that will serve on-premise, private and public cloud environments. MyQ also took the opportunity to introduce technology partners across the realms of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and scanning workflows, and announced its new PrintSharing feature powered by MyQ Roger.
MyQ X 10.2 updates and roadmap
A range of enhancements and features have been added to MyQ X 10.2 including:
- New look terminal design: A new UI means that MyQ X now has the same look and feel across all supported devices, increasing user familiarity and consistency across multi-vendor fleets.
- “Favourite Action” shortcut functionality has been added so users can complete frequently performed tasks in a single click.
- Enhanced personalisation: Administrators can change icons and backgrounds to their preferred colours and styles, and can link icons to their meanings, such as a SharePoint icon for scanning to SharePoint, for example.
- Desktop client redesign and printer provisioning tool: The printer provisioning tool is designed to address the most common pain point for administrators by enabling the centralised set-up and straightforward rollout of drivers and print queues to devices, so users can only see and access devices they are authorised to use. The printer provisioning tool also supports IPPS, enabling integration with WPP-enabled environments.
- Simplified cloud integrations: A new mode simplifies connecting to cloud environments
- Chromebook Client: Following customer feedback on challenges integrating with Chromebook, MyQ has created a Chromebook client that is proving popular in environments where Chromebook is heavily used, such as education and retail.
Future developments in MyQ X will include:
- Printer provisioning profiles: These will enable print profiles to follow users as they travel between offices, silently updating to show only the printers available to them.
- Scan enhancements: Features such as splitting jobs by barcode and removing blank pages will support applications in environments such as hospitals.
- Accessibility mode: Support for users with accessibility requirements.
- Support for Brother and Konica Minolta: These will roll out in 2026.
The updates to MyQ X demonstrate MyQ’s commitment to refining and enhancing the platform’s usability and consistency, while solving the most common pain points for administrators.
MyQ Roger updates and roadmap
Updates to MyQ’s cloud-native solution MyQ Roger are also driven by customer feedback and include:
- Support for more than 100 payment method providers via an integration with Stripe: This will support MyQ’s new PrintSharing app and allow customers to provide pay-as-you-go print services.
- Quotas. MyQ Roger’s accounting and reporting suite now allows the allocation of quotas to users/departments to more closely control print volumes. Quotas can also be used to enforce print policies.
- Desktop client. The desktop client management suite will be updated to enable one-click updates and push changes.
- Reports. MyQ Roger’s reporting functionality is enhanced to provide scheduled reports and graphical visualisations that offer an immediate insight into the status of the print environment.
- Cloud spooling: Important for zero trust environments, cloud spooling is now supported in MyQ Roger.
The latest enhancements show that the team is paying close attention to customer pain points and prioritising enhancements that will make an immediate difference to administrative workflows and cost control.
MyQ neXt
MyQ neXt represents the strategic roadmap for MyQ, incorporating the most popular features of MyQ X and MyQ Roger in a single solution that serves on-premise, private and public cloud environments. MyQ neXt will support 17 vendors and offer high availability and scalability, with multi-tenancy capability enabling the support of complex environments.
The product will feature MyQ intelligence and will integrate useful AI features; possibilities include scanning to translate, scan to summary, and data leak protection solutions. A site gateway will help legacy non-cloud-enabled devices to talk to the cloud.
MyQ neXt is scheduled for initial release in spring 2026 for beta/pilot projects, with a fully featured version available by the end of the year.
PrintSharing feature and partner solutions
MyQ has identified a commercial application around providing chargeable print-on-demand in public spaces such as hotel lobbies, transport hubs, and co-working spaces. Powered by MyQ Roger, the PrintSharing feature requires only an internet connection and a PrintSharing-enabled printer – there’s no need to install an app or create an account. All printers can be easily enabled as MyQ PrintSharing devices; administrators simply set prices and link to the Stripe payment system.
- Smart face biometric integration
MyQ also showcased several partner integrations, including Smartface identity and access management provided by EU biometric specialist Innovatrics. This enables users to retrieve print or access other device capabilities via facial or palm print recognition.
- ScannerVision integration
MyQ partner Ubunye demonstrated the data extraction and management capabilities of its ScannerVision automated document capture and processing solution.
Quocirca Opinion
MyQ is clear on its commitment to reducing customer pain points and providing outstanding service. Several customers and partners took to the stage at the conference to share their positive experiences of working with the company, praising the quality of the relationship with engineers and sales staff, as well as the benefits of the products themselves. In a crowded market, this is an important aspect for vendors to nurture as they seek to build greater market share and defend against competitors.
The company faces the challenge of all print management providers with on-premise and cloud-native print management solutions: how to support customers in their – not always linear – print infrastructure management evolution. Ultimately, MyQ is counting on the environment-agnostic design, features, functionality, and intuitive user experience of MyQ neXt to deliver the best of all worlds to customers and support consistent, efficient, and secure print management in any environment.
