Mick Heys is a senior technology strategist and business development leader with over 30 years of experience in the print, document, and workflow automation industries. As Global Head of Advisory at Quocirca, Mick leverages his deep sector expertise to drive commercial strategy and provide high-level strategic guidance to technology vendors and enterprise clients. Throughout his career, Mick has served as a trusted advisor to nearly every major global print vendor. As Vice President at IDC, he led the European Future of Workplace & Imaging business, where he managed a multi-national team of analysts.

Mick’s background is rooted in high-impact alliance management and product strategy. His expertise in building profitable OEM and software partnerships was further refined through senior roles at Nuance Communications, Global Graphics Software, and Software Imaging Ltd, where he created and grew alliances with global electronics and imaging leaders. Mick holds a BSc (Hons) in Printing Technology from Manchester Metropolitan University and is a frequent speaker at international industry conferences. He is a passionate advocate for digital transformation within the imaging sector.

Helen Hopper, Media Relations

Helen is a media relations and communications consultant with broad experience across the business, technology and education sectors. Her print industry expertise stems from more than a decade in-house at Kyocera Document Solutions where she helped to build the company’s brand as an innovator in environmentally responsible business. Helen communicates complex research and business stories through clear copywriting that cuts to the heart of the issue to engage and inform audiences.

Isabel Hopkins, Contributing Analyst

Isabel is a market research professional, who has worked across a range of industries and using a blend of methodologies during her twenty-year career. She was a Partner and Research Director at Illuminas LLP until 2019, where she worked primarily in complex sectors such as technology, finance and utlities for clients such as EE, BT, Royal Mail, Goldman Sachs and EDF Energy.

She now specialises in looking at how the digital and analogue worlds are converging and helping clients optimise their proposition in the context of competing demands, covering brand, pricing, sustainability, the economy and workforce dynamics. She has worked with Quocirca since 2021, supporting projects including The Future of Print, Zero Trust and Sustainability studies.

Outside of work she is dedicated to spending time by the sea in all seasons and participating in her local community in East London, especially in terms of social inclusion projects and supporting children living in poverty.

Lindsay Wilson, Research Executive

Lindsay is a business editor and proofreader based in Sheffield. She has worked in the analyst industry since 2008, specialising in IT, software, and sustainability. She has been with Quocirca since 2022, editing and proofreading reports and articles, formatting and compiling profiles for long reports, publishing reports and articles online, sharing reports with clients, and helping with client liaison.

In her time as an in-house and freelance editor, Lindsay has worked on corporate journals, annual reports, articles, internal communications, website copy, academic papers, and independent novels, as well as short communications such as emails, biographies, CVs, and press releases. She is familiar with the Oxford Style Manual, the Chicago Manual of Style, and the Associated Press Stylebook.

Outside of work, Lindsay is a home educator and hobby writer. She enjoys swimming, walking in the Peak District, travelling to the US to see family, and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
