- Advanced Green IT issues, including the use of regenerative power, heat pumps, natural cooling, thermopiles and so on
- Advanced Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity approaches
- The linkage of the Business and IT and why there still remains a gap in this area
- The application of technology to "IP over IP" - the protection of intellectual property over a converged network
- The social aspects of new media and social networking
- Managing technical systems for business value, including software asset management, contextual reporting on technical issues through to the business (cost impact reporting, etc)
- The use of mobile, laptop-based solutions within the organisation
- Covergence issues with usage of VoIP and Video
- Customer interactions and how to optimise these
- Supply chain issues and the use of in-the-cloud solutions
- Utility-based computing paradigms
